NORAD and USNORTHCOM commander visits CONR-1AF (AFNORTH & AFSPACE)

TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla.- Gen. Gregory Guillot, commander, North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), met with Lt. Gen. Steven Nordhaus, commander, Continental NORAD Region, First Air Force (Air Forces Northern & Air Forces Space), Royal Canadian Air Force Maj. Gen. Sean Boyle, deputy commander, CONR, and staff at the Killey Center for Homeland Operations May 9, 2024. During the visit, the CONR-1 AF (AFNORTH & AFSPACE) leadership and Guillot participated in discussions focused on successes and challenges related to people, mission, and resources. Gen. Guillot also toured the 601st Air Operations Center (AOC), meeting and recognizing outstanding performers within Killey Center and the 601st AOC. The 601st AOC plans, directs, and assesses air and space operations for NORAD and USNORTHCOM missions; providing aerospace warning and control for NORAD defensive counter air activities as well as directing Air Force air and space capabilities in support of USNORTHCOM homeland security and civil support missions.
