Washington Air National Guard hosts ADAFCO Course at the Western Air Defense Sector

U.S. Army Capt. Morgan Lloyd, 10th Army Air and Missile Defense Command (kneeling), works with U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Andrew Snyder, 225th Air Defense Squadron superintendent of exercises, during a Joint Kill Chain Exercise 24-1 at the Western Air Defense Sector, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, Feb. 12, 2024. The Western Air Defense Sector hosted its first ever three-week U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery Fire Control Officer (ADAFCO) course and follow-on Joint Kill Chain Exercise for 14 U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force students Jan. 29 – Feb. 16, 2024. Hosting the course at WADS saved the military travel money, provided WADS with valuable wartime training opportunities, and provided a high level of Agile Combat Employment and next generational adversarial training.
