Maj. James Buell accepts the assumption of command of the 101st Air and Space Operations Group's Detachment 1 on August 1, 2023. The 101st Air and Space Operations Group (AOG) activated its new Detachment 1 on the same date. The establishment of Detachment 1 marks a significant milestone for the 101st AOG, as it will handle major support functions such as Civil Engineering (CE), Personnel, and Logistics within the Air Operations Center (AOC).
