David Hicks, Air Forces Northern Vice Commander, discusses the radar that’s part of the ground-based equipment suite during the P-8A Poseidon imagery-generation demonstration at Tyndall Base Operations March 14. The aircraft was here to present a working demonstration to Air Forces Northern leadership about the viability of using imagery feed from the platform during a Defense Support of Civil Authorities event. During the demonstration, the P-8A Poseidon-generated imagery to the ground-based station as it flew in Northwest Florida airspace.
