Canadian Forces Brig. Gen. Alain Pelletier, CON-R deputy, visits the South Carolina Air National Guard

Canadian Forces Brig. Gen. Alain Pelletier, deputy commander Continental United States NORAD Region, receives and orientation flight on a SCANG F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jet accompanied by Lt. Col. Ian Toogood, a fighter pilot and Commander of the Aerospace Control Alert Squadron, during his visit to the South Carolina Air National Guard's 169th Fighter Wing at McEntire Joint National Guard Station, Mar. 1, 2016. During his visit, he spoke to wing leadership about its homeland defense mission and the relationship it has with the NORAD air component as it is tasked through CONR to ensure North American airspace control. The 169th FW has provided support for numerous CONR training and air defense events in past years. Brig. Gen.
