109th Airlift Wing returns from Antarctic Mission
An LC-130 Hercules aircraft sits on the flight line at Stratton Air National Guard Base in Scotia, New York, after returning from Antarctica to the base near Schenectady, on March 8, 2016. The wing, which flies the only ski-equipped aircraft in the U.S. military flies transportation missions in support of the National Science Foundation as part of Operation Deep Freeze, the military support to the U.S. Antarctic Program.
