AFNORTH readiness personnel support local disaster response workgroup
During an animal-related disaster-response workshop at the Bay County Fairgrounds Feb. 28, a Bay County Animal Services worker “decontaminates” a dog suspected of being exposed to “toxins” during the workshop scenario. Hosted by the Florida State Agricultural Response Team and Bay County Emergency Services, the event brought together a wide variety of emergency-response agencies and focused on practicing providing disaster response assistance not only to people, but also animals.
