AFNORTH readiness personnel support local disaster response workgroup
Maj. Lonnie Pirtle, (center), Air Forces Northern Installation & Mission Support Division Readiness Section, watches a medical exam of a dog during an animal-related disaster response workshop at the Bay County Fairgrounds Feb. 28. Hosted by the Florida State Agricultural Response Team and Bay County Emergency Services, the event brought together a wide variety of emergency-response agencies and focused on practicing providing disaster response assistance not only to people, but also their pets. Pirtle was an evaluator during the workshop.
