Warrior Beach Retreat

PANAMA CITY, Fla. – Linda Cope, Warrior Beach Retreat, Inc. founder, smiles at well-wishers as she arrives at the inaugural welcome ceremony for Warrior Beach Retreat participants Sept. 17 at a church in Panama City. Cope’s son, Joshua, an Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran, lost both his legs and injured his hands after an improvised explosive device attack in Baghdad in 2006. The Retreat honors wounded warriors by bringing them and their spouse or caregiver to Panama City Beach, Fla., for a week of rest and relaxation. (Air Force Photo Released/Mary McHale)
