TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Royal Canadian Air Force BGen Alain Pelletier, Continental U.S. Aerospace Defense Region Deputy Commander, climbs the stairs to board a Navy P-8A Poseidon aircraft from Naval Air Station Jacksonville here for static display Dec. 15. The aircraft is the Navy’s newest addition to its anti-submarine & intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance platforms. It’s the replacement for the P-3 Orion legacy aircraft, which in the past has proven valuable to the Air Forces Northern organization for the incident awareness and assessment portion of Defense Support of Civil Authorities missions.
