TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Royal Canadian Air Force LCol Larry Weir, Continental U.S. Aerospace Defense Region Canadian Detachment Commander, talks about RCAF Pilot Officer John Gillespie Magee Jr., during the Canadian Detachment’s Battle of Britain Remembrance Ceremony Sept. 22. Gillespie was an American aviator who served in the RCAF during World War II before the United States entered the war.
