AFRCC Manages Complex, Multi-Day mission
Pararescuemen from the 48th Rescue Squadron (RQS) utilize fastboats from the Venezuelan fishing vessel to position a skiff to a location for the safety of hoist extraction operations by two HH-60G Pavehawk helicopters from the 55th RQS during a rescue mission on May 5, 2014, off the Pacific Coast of Mexico. The PJs are the only Department of Defense combat forces specifically organized, trained, equipped, and postured to conduct full spectrum personnel recovery operations.
