AFRCC hosts regional rescue professionals

"Rescue professionals from the Mexico Rescue Coordination Center visited the U.S. Air Force Rescue Coordination Center here for a Search and Rescue Subject Matter Exchange July 22-25. U.S. Air Force members Maj. Joel Bolina, North American Aerospace Defense Command-U.S. Northern Command Special Staff; Lt. Col. Ian Kemp, AFRCC commander, and Capt. Matthew Shemo, an AFRCC Search and Rescue duty officer, joined their MRCC counterparts for a photo opportunity at the 9-11 Memorial at the 601st Air and Space Operations Center here. During the exchange, the rescuemen collaborated in building a cross-border civil-rescue exercise that will demonstrate the full capabilities of both nations in rescuing pilot and passengers from a downed private aircraft.
