F-4 Phantom Jet Moved to Permanent Display
Workers craned a restored F-4 Phantom II jet onto its pedestal Friday afternoon at the Eastern Air Defense Sector in Rome, N.Y. One of the most renowned combat planes in the Air Force inventory, the F-4 was used extensively in Vietnam and saw service in Desert Storm before being retired in 1996.
