Civil Air Patrol, CONR converge for conference
Members of the Civil Air Patrol’s Southeast Region receive a familiarization tour of the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center and the 601st Air and Space Operations Center during their regional conference at Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., Jan. 20. CAP is a nonprofit, volunteer organization. In its Air Force Auxiliary role, CAP performs 90 percent of continental U.S. inland search and rescue missions as tasked by the AFRCC and was credited with saving 53 lives in 2011.
