First Air Force shares Year-In-Review with Panama City Rotary Club

Senior Master Sgt. William Combs, senior enlisted leader with the Continental U.S. NORAD Region-1st Air Force (Air Forces Northern) A1 personnel directorate, spoke to members of the Panama City Rotary Club at their weekly meeting Tuesday, and shared with them select highlights from 1AF's extraordinary year, which included the second-busiest year in the 49-year history of its support to Wildland Fire Fighting, and one of the busiest years in the 47-year history of its Air Force Rescue Coordination Center (AFRCC), which coordinated nearly 600 missions saving 332 lives.

The Rotary brings together community leaders for goodwill causes. Combs shared highlights of 1AF’s 2021 missions including Aerial Wildland Firefighting, medical support, Operation Allies Welcome, missions with the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center, and  the new integration of Human Space Flight Support.
