CIVIL SUPPORT Air Forces Northern can provide airlift, aero-medical evacuation, medical support, damage assessment and civil engineering capabilities to support Federal Emergency Management Agency requests for Department of Defense assistance for the catastrophic events. When FEMA requests DOD resources to help with the relief operations, AFNORTH can send an Air Component Coordination Element to support those affected.
