LIEUTENANT COLONEL JASON T. “HOLLYWOOD” SPICER
Lt. Col. Jason Spicer is Commander, First Air Force, Detachment 2, and Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Commanding Officer, 22 Wing Operations Support Squadron as well as Deputy Commander, Canadian Air Defence Sector (CADS), Canadian Forces Base (CFB) North Bay, Ontario, Canada. He leads a 60-member bi-national and joint team of USAF and RCAF personnel in direct support of the Canadian NORAD Region mission of air defense and ensuring air sovereignty for North America.
Lt Col. Spicer earned his commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Brigham Young University in 2009. He is a Senior Air Battle Manager and has operational experience on the E-3 Sentry Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) B/C and G models, as well as more than 1,200 combat hours as a Senior Director in the Control and Reporting Center (CRC). He has over 900 flying hours, including 387 combat hours as an Air Surveillance Officer in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.
Prior to his current assignment, the Lt Col was Director of Operations, AFROTC Detachment 855, Brigham Young University, Provo Utah.
