Chief Master Sergeant Kevin L. Myers is the Chief Enlisted Manager at the 601st Air Operations Center and 101st Air and Space Operations Group, Tyndall AFB, Florida. He is the senior enlisted leader and is the principal advisor for the AOC and AOG Commander. In this role Chief Myers is directly responsible for all matters influencing the health, morale, welfare, job satisfaction, quality of life and professional development of 403 Airmen.
Chief Myers enlisted in the Mississippi Air National Guard in January 1998 as a Personnel Specialist for the 172d Logistics Readiness Squadron. Upon completion of basic training, he completed technical training August 1998 at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi. In 2001, Chief Myers cross-trained, transferring to the 171st Air Refueling Wing, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he served as an Air Operations Technician for the 147th Air Refueling Squadron. He returned to the Mississippi Air National Guard in 2005 as an Aviation Resource Management System (ARMS) Specialist. Chief Myers was selected to serve as the 172d Operations Group First Sergeant in August 2013. In this position, he served as the vital link between the commander, enlisted personnel, and support agencies. Chief Myers was responsible for ensuring the enlisted force understood the commander’s policies, goals, and mission objectives. He has deployed in support of Operation’s NOBLE EAGLE, IRAQI FEEDOM, and ENDURING FREEDOM. Prior to assuming his current position, Chief Myers served as the Air National Guard Command First Sergeant.
