Reserve Citizen Airman Staff Sgt. Gregg Forshaw, 308th Rescue Squadron pararescueman, and Senior Airman Davy Brinkmann, 301st Rescue Squadron special mission aviator, 920th Rescue Wing, were part of a six-person HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter crew that rescued 84 Hurricane Harvey victims Aug. 30, 2017 around Port Arthur, Texas after Hurricane Harvey devastated parts of the state.

Maj. Chris Ferrara, HC-130P/N "King" co-pilot, is part of  concerted rescue effort of approximately 80 wing personnel from the 920th Rescue Wing who rescued two German citizens in distress at sea July 7, 2017 and into July 8. The victim's vessel caught fire approximately 500 nautical miles off the east coast of southern Florida. At the request of the U.S. Coast Guard's Seventh District in Miami, the 920th RQW was alerted by the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, to assist in the long-range search and rescue. More than 100 Airmen from the 920th Rescue Wing here trained with Royal Canadian Air Force search-and-rescue personnel during an annual exercise in Key West, Florida, March 2-6.During the search-and-rescue exercise, or SAREX, the Reserve Airmen and their counterparts practiced land and water rescue operations on the island just 90 miles from Cuba.
